  • Welcome to Leela Gurukul. Today we'll be diving deeper into the transformative and liberating energy of Goddess Kali, to heal our inner child. Before this meditation begins, relax the body. Keep your heart open, receptive. Now, I'll take the next few moments to help your mind, to help your body and heart, feel at ease with this experience, with the energy of Goddess Kali. As you become ready to dive into this healing experience, understand that this particular form of Ma Kali is not the one that's fierce, or associated with battles, wars, and all the blood and skulls around her.

This form of Goddess Kali is the Ma Kali, the Divine Mother. She's the form of Kali that the greatest teacher, one of the most loved teachers, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, devoted his entire life to. It's the form of Goddess Kali that Shiva, the founder, the teacher, the greatest yogi of all the times, surrendered to. It's believed that when Shiva drank the poison and his entire body turned blue, he could not take the poison. The body couldn't take it, and he had to seek the help of Goddess Kali's motherly form to release that poison, that toxin from the body. That's what motherly form of Kali does for you. She takes care of you, makes you feel safe, and consumes everything that is not serving you. That's harming you, hurting you.

This meditation will always strengthen you, protect you, guide you. Each time you feel everything is too much, you're feeling more fragile, vulnerable than ever, you can always invite the grace, the warmth, the unconditional love of Goddess Kali. You deserve comfort. You deserve safety. And it doesn't matter what age you are in, what professional status you have, what social status you have. Deep down, the inner child always needs that safety, protection, and love. The form of Goddess Kali we're inviting is endlessly loving, forgiving, unconditionally accepting. No matter what you have done, knowingly or unknowingly, her love is there for you.

It's not a transactional love. It's the kind of love that celebrates you, and sees you as you are. She's your soft place. She's the divine hug. The ancient temple where you can freely, unapologetically relax, dance, and be playful. And now, relax the body. Keep the spine straight, your eyes closed. And feel the warmth, the safety. Feel the known and unknown joining you. Breathe. Witness. And let's take this moment to mindfully be at ease. And notice the silence and the sounds in the room. Notice the awareness that's witnessing these sounds and silence.

And as you feel comfortable, place your hands slightly above the navel. That's your solar plexus, or the Manipura Chakra. It's the energy center of your courage, healing. That's the energy center of self reverence. It's your home. Keep your fingers, your hands very softly, slightly above the navel. Take a deep breath in, and a deep breath out. A deep breath in, and a deep breath out.

Before we dive into the first step of conscious breathing, we'll start by invoking the energy, the blessing of Goddess Kali through this ancient mantra. Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu Shakti Rupena Samsthita Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namaha. It means, to that ancient goddess who thrives and blooms in all beings, I see you. I trust you. I surrender to you. And I welcome you. And as we welcome her, fully relax your body. And keeping your awareness around the navel, gently take a deep breath in. Hold it for a moment. And as you exhale, let go of one element. It could be a memory, a thought, an experience where your inner child was not loved, or didn't feel safe. Or felt abandoned, not accepted. As you exhale, remember this moment, this experience. It's liberating. It's safe. You don't need to hide the inner child anymore.

You don't need to be afraid. Your body feels so safe in this tantric conscious breathing. And the presence of Kali makes it even safer, even more powerful. To deepen this letting go process, we'll welcome Ma Kali one more time with the mantra. Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu Shakti Rupena Samsthita Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namaha. Beloved Kali, I may not know your rituals. I may be distracted, scattered, feeling fragile in this moment, but I show up in my total vulnerability. I show up in total acceptance, total receptivity. I trust you to guide me, to heal me, to lead me. One more time, take a deep breath, and hold it for a moment. And as you exhale, let go of one element that you're willingly, knowingly releasing and letting go.

Again, inhale, hold. And let go. Release. We'll take the next few moments for the energy to settle, to relax. Now, as you feel the energy pulsating, expanding around your solar plexus, envision your inner child standing before you. Visualize that you are a beautiful, precious child. Visualize that this form of you is so innocent, hopeful, playful, relaxed, creative. If you did not have a safe or a loving experience as a child, then this is a good moment, a safe moment, to open up to a new experience of unconditional love, unconditional acceptance, protection and safety for the child within you. If you can, gaze into the eyes of your inner child. Admire the innocence, the hope, the love in those eyes. Maybe hold the hands of your inner child. How soft, and little hands are.

Just sit with your inner child, nothing to fix. Sitting with inner child in total warmth, acceptance, and love. And it's totally okay to feel emotional as you experience the energy of your inner child so close to you. Being loved in this way takes time. It takes time to get used to, especially if it's unfamiliar, unknown to you. Sometimes feeling this unconditionally loved can even bring sadness and grief, even anger or shock. Don't hide these feelings. Feel all the feelings, all of them. I'm requesting Ma Kali to be with you in her sweet motherly form, holding the space for you and your inner child to feel so unconditionally accepted. Do you want to lay down, or sit the way you are? It's totally your call. The inner child can do what they please.

She can sit straight, he can lay down. Whatever it is, go for it. Let's take a moment to request Ma Kali to create this endless safety and love within your heart. To create this endless safety and love in your inner child. And if there's anything else you wish to express to Goddess Kali, you may do so now. Tell her what's on your mind, what you need as an inner child. And what I'll do, I'll chant her mantra for you while you continue to soak her love, her warmth, her safety. Om Kalikaye Namaha. Om Kalikaye Namaha. To gift your inner child the healing, the freedom, the safety, we're inviting this mantra. Om Kalikaye Namaha. Om Kalikaye Namaha If there is one word I'm feeling for you, it's acceptance. Acceptance of who you are. Acceptance of all of your seasons.

Acceptance of the mistakes, Acceptance of your innocence, acceptance of the confusion, acceptance of the tears. You're so accepted, so loved, so seen right now. And I know Goddess Kali won't leave you, won't abandon her strength and protection after this audio is over. She'll continue to be there for you whenever you need her. Feel worthy of her love. You don't have to be a giver in this moment. You can be a receiver. One more time. Om Kalikaye Namaha. Om Kalikaye Namaha. Om Kalikaye Namaha. My friend, take this moment to come back to your source. Come back to the innocence, creativity, playfulness, and let this warm healing light from your solar plexus wrap you up in its love.

Allow it to pour the love, the freedom, the courage you need to express yourself. And now, as we come to conclude this meditation, keep this feeling of warmth, safety, and courage within you. And know that you can return to this space and dimension anytime you wish. Slowly begin to deepen your breath. Be aware of your physical surrounding, and receive the mantra one more time. Om Kalikaye Namaha. Om Kalikaye Namaha. Om Kalikaye Namaha. Please continue to spend a minute or two receiving and becoming available to the Kali consciousness, even after this audio is over.
